Union Osaka and SUPERVSN Launch New Capsule Collab
Celebrating the launch of Union’s new Osaka store opening.
Already having a strong relationship as two brands that have partnered before, Union Tokyo and Gavin Mathieu’s Supervsn Studios have teamed up again to celebrate the opening of Union’s new Osaka store.
The two brands have launched a new capsule collection that ties back to Supervsn’s previous cultural sentiments of “Divided We Stand, United We Ball.” The new collab includes staple SS items such as the “300 GSM” cotton jersey T-shirt, and the “470 GSM” heavy-weight hoodie – the styles are color-updated with brand logo insignia appearing parallel on each item.
Discussing the new store opening and the collaboration idea, Mathieu says: “The Union team are friends of ours and the brand. Everything we do is very organic and it shows through the creative. Personally, it’s been some of my favorite work.”
In agreement with Mathieu, Union Tokyo and Union Osaka’s Merchandise Buyer, Haluhi Kati, shares: “It was important for us to have LA crews be part of this new store opening and celebrate Union’s new journey. As the first retailer of SUPERVSN in Japan, Union Tokyo values this collaboration so much and is excited to continue to build the partnership together!”
Sold as an in-store exclusive, the new Union Osaka x Supervsn Studios collab will also become available on Union Osaka’s channels in the US on October 22 (at 2:00 a.m. PT), and in Japan on October 23 (at 6:00 p.m. JST).
