SWEETLIMEJUICE Previews FW22 "CONCORD" 007 Collection

London-based label, SWEETLIMEJUICE has been known for creating experimental demi-fine jewelry for seasons. Identified for its progressive yet sensory-driven aesthetics, SWEETLIMEJUICE’s latest Collection 007 “CONCORD” for Fall/Winter 2022 will explore themes of family, religion, and tribal communities. 

Fascinated by symbolic objects from different cultures, designer Simpson Ma draws references from Japanese family crests known as Kamon, Lingam caskets worn by the Hindus to the Islamic relic, the Black Stone in Mecca. All of these have a common denominator — to evoke belief, closeness, and a sense of connection among their wearers. Similar to the label’s previous SS22 collection, “CONCORD” also drew inspiration from the fluid yet symmetrically geometric works of contemporary sculptors, Isamu Noguchi and Wendell Castle. 

The collection features an array of necklaces, chokers, rings, ear cuffs, bracelets, and a unique neck cushion piece. New materials are also introduced, notably freshwater black pearls for necklaces and bracelets paired with split crucifixes. 

The centerpiece of the collection is the “Denim Octagonal Knife Edge Necklace” — an instantly recognizable design evolved from the brand’s signature. Featuring an octagonal gemstone, the pendant is covered with silver with hand-carved details on the surface for a sleek finish.

Another noteworthy mention is the new “Surban” chain. Developed from the brand’s “Kamon Chain” from its SS22 collection, the “Surban” is part curb chain and part cuban chain, but with a SWEETLIMEJUICE twist.
