Building off of last year’s introductions,
The Air Max 97 arrives in a mix of leather and suede uppers with pull-lock laces and “나이키” text, translating to “Nike” in Korean, overlaid in transparent materials over the lateral cutouts. Reflective accents stretch over the upper grooves, small squares are stitched on the tongue tab, and nylon pull tabs are fixed on the oval tongue tab and heel. Rounding out the look are sail midsoles and icy translucent outsoles.
The alternate Air Max 1 WMNS ” Hangul Day” features subtle Korean text on the blue-tinted heel counter, jelly Swooshes, and stylized lace tips. Suede stretches over the lateral panels and soft fleece materials line the collars. Air units on the midsoles are blocked out and two-tone rubber outsoles complete the pairs
The Nike Air Max “Hangul Day” Pack is now available via Nike and select retailers exclusively in Asia. Prices range from $160 to $190 USD for the Nike Air Max 1 and Nike Air Max 97 respectively.
Elsewhere in footwear, Crocs launches the “Echo Clog.”
