Keanu Reeves is one of Hollywood’s most sought-after action stars. As Reeves gears up for the release of the next Matrix, fans have been speculating on what Reeves will do next after the project. Many rumors have indicated that Reeves might be joining another action franchise, though no information has yet been revealed.

The actor recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and discussed his new comic book Brzrkr. Reeves is currently developing and has written the superhero comic set to be adapted as an anime and live-action film. Led by Reeves himself, the story follows an immortal warrior fighting through the ages. Later on in his interview with Kimmel, Reeves was asked if he has ever wanted to play a Marvel character. Reeves revealed,

“10-year-old me would want to — I think he’d probably want to be Ghost Rider.”

It comes as no surprise that Reeves may still hold Marvel close to his heart. Kevin Feige has been open about speaking with Reeves about having him possibly join the MCU, whether it was an appearance, big or small. The studio admitted that it still wanted to “figure out the right way” for his arrival into the universe. Reeves spoke about his appreciation of Marvel, “It’s really cool. I think the way that the Marvel films have developed and what they are is really spectacular, and it would be great to be a part of that.” In the past, Nicolas Cage and Matt Long have played Ghost Rider, aka Johnny Blaze in the MCU. It remains to be seen if Marvel will recast Reeves as the character in the near future.
