HOKA’s New Mafate-OG Comes in Black and White

The curviest silhouette to date?

Outerwear and running shoe specialist HOKA ONE ONE has just presented its latest shoe, aptly dubbed the Mafate-OG, and its one of the label’s chunkiest silhouettes to date. With this in mind, since HOKA’s launch in 2009, the brand has supplied a consistent roll-out of trail-ready footwear that is designed to withstand the elements and act as a supportive and stylish silhouette for outdoor excursions. Recent silhouettes — such as the TOR Ultra Hi and Low — have supplied this and this latest drop is following in suit by modelling itself on one of HOKA’s first-ever silhouettes: the Mafate.

This latest shoe — which comes in black and white colorways — is designed specifically for trail runners and is crafted with a curved sole that reduces pressure on the wearer’s foot. The bottom of its sole also includes deep flex grooves in the outsole tread — designed to enhance traction on the ground. In addition, HOKA has included Meta-Rocker geometry and the cushioned sole unit offers a smooth and bouncy step, allowing runners to perform over long distances. Beyond the sole, performance is still at the forefront of the design with a ripstop upper, quick-lace system and an elastic lace keeper.

You can have a closer look at the new HOKA Mafate-OG above and it is available now on the brand’s official website.
