Acne Studios isn’t afraid to get funky, as proven by its latest offering, a leather slip-on mule inspired by traditional Swedish beak shoes. Coming in black or cognac brown, the easy-on, easy-off silhouette combines Acne Studios’ contemporary touch with something historic, in turn presenting an aesthetic fit for any Scandinavian “mys” fit.
The coziness comes courtesy of insoles completely clad in shearling, acting as a soft pillow for tired toes. Likewise, an exaggerated toe bumper (which extends into the beak) will offer plenty of room for your feet, while 30mm of sole unit and tread will make sure the underneath of your foot will be supported all day.
As much as the pair is inspired by traditions, it is also a design courtesy of the minds at KERO, known for its naturally-tanned leather beak shoes. In turn, the collaboration is kitted out with embossing on the vamp depicting a sort of tree shape, while the blue and yellow tones of the Swedish flag have been added to a vamp-hanging tab.
