Music sticks to subcultures through thick and thin. Cast your mind back to the Beastie Boys and skate culture, The Beatles with the hippie movement, Elvis Presley with the resurgence of teenage heartbreak and entertainment, or in a contemporary world, the likes of A$AP Rocky and Travis Scott whose music now plays into — and helps to set — fashion trends. We know this is true, but Palace knows it even better, and to flex its musical prowess the London-based skateboarding brand has teamed up with Apple Music to launch an exclusive set of DJ mixes.

Enlisting Omar S, Robert Hood, and Rory Milanes (who is also a Palace team boarder), Palace curates a selection of sounds that span everything from chilled sessions to Detroit House and Techno, many of which have previously featured in some of your favorite Palace videos.

Speaking on the project, Stephen Campbell, Apple Music’s Global Head of Dance, Electronic, said: “Dance and Electronic music, and broader DJ culture underpin the Palace brand in every way, all through a very specific lens. We are excited to onboard such a cultural institution as a curator and bring mixes from generational legends and the best of the new to Apple Music subscribers across the globe.”

Echoing his point, Palace founder Lev Tanju said: “We love the music we love so much: curating a space for it all to live for Apple Music feels very banging for us. Tunes from Palace skate videos and mixes from our favorite DJs in the world: this will be our corner of the music internet and we are hyped on it.”

To heighten the auditory experience, Palace’s landing page on Apple Music will also play host to Spatial Audio sessions and archive mixes from some of its most loved DJs, while more mixes are set to come in the future.

All of Palace’s Apple Music-exclusive DJ mixes can be found and heard here.

In other news, here’s a better look at everything Palace is dropping this season.
