The Armoury and H. Moser & Cie Collaborate on Total Eclipse Limited Edition
The 56 pieces are being sold using a lottery system.

Swiss watch brand H. Moser & Cie and style destination, The Armoury, have collaborated on a pair of limited edition dress watches inspired by solar eclipses.
The two 38mm stainless steel watches use Vantablack dials – which absorbs 99.965% of all light – to represent the shadow of the moon as it passes in front of the sun during a solar eclipse. The two variations are then distinguished by inner bezels in either polished steel or 5N red gold, which reflects the halo of the sun’s corona.
“When Edouard [Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie] and I first started talking about the idea of making a watch together, my main requirement was that it was small,” says Mark Cho, co-founder of The Armoury. “I like watches that are discreet but reveal a deeper complexity if you pay them some attention.’’
While the Vantablack dial lends itself to minimalism, the design – inspired by pocket watches – features dot hour markers, Breguet hands and running seconds at the six o’clock matched to the metal used on the inner bezel. Inside beats a handwound 2.5Hz HMC 327 calibre.
The Armoury by H.Moser & Cie. Total Eclipse watches are limited to 28 pieces in each variation and are presented with a pocket square designed for the project.
The watches are being sold via a lottery system at The Armoury which is open to entries until 11:59 EST on January 26 and requires payment of a 10% deposit on the full price of $25,900 USD, while H. Moser & Cie is taking orders.
Elsewhere in watches, Patek Philippe finally removes 5711 from its catalogue.
