Prada Drops $660 USD Basketball That Has Its Own Saffiano Leather-Decorated Carry Case
Definitely one for the display shelf.
Following on from Prada‘s Fall/Winter 2022 “Body of Work,” an SS22 campaign starring Tom Holland, its latest Pradidas collaboration, and a year dominated by its Raf Simons co-designed accessories, comes yet another standout Prada drop — this time around in the form of a basketball.
The basketball, which is made entirely from black rubber, features white detailing all around and Prada’s signature triangular logo on the top, but given its holder, we suspect this piece is likely to spend most of its life on display. In a similar way to how other houses such as Chanel have made a surfboard, this piece is truly intended for show — unless you’re keen to take it onto the court.
To do so, Prada has paired the basketball with its own carrying mechanism, constructed from webbing straps that are decorated with black Saffiano leather and a metal Prada-branded buckle. Prada’s basketball retails for $660 USD and can be bought from Très Bien now.
