Paramount+ has unveiled its official trailer for the live-action Halo TV series. The teaser for the show was initially shared ahead of the NFL AFC Championship Game on CBS.

The Halo live-action TV series was announced back in 2013 and has spent multiple years in development before ViacomCBS confirmed that it was planning on premiering the show on Paramount+. The show was previously planned for Showtime. The two-minute trailer has now dropped, revealing that it does not actually occur in the same continuity as the two-decade gaming franchise.

The show appears to have its own storyline following “the Silver Timeline,” named after Master Chief, played by Pablo Schreiber, has his own new team of Spartans fighting with him side by side. The team differs from his blue Team members which consisted of Linda, Fred and Kelly from the expanded media. In continuity with the games, the Silver Team is set to make an appearance and will feature Riz-028 played by Natasha Culzac, Vannak-134 played by Bentley Kalu and Kai-125 played y Kate Kennedy. The Halo trailer shows a female character allying herself with the Covenant and appears to be set during a time when the Insurrection occurs at the same time as the Covenant.

Halo arrives on Paramount+ on March 24.
