Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison issued a stern warning to Kanye West about getting fully vaccinated before entering Australia for a tour.

During a recent visit to Queensland, Morrison reminded everyone that nobody is exempt from following the rules. “They apply to everybody as people have seen,” he said, referring to their recent decision to deport tennis star Novak Djokovic. “It doesn’t matter who you are, they’re the rules. Follow the rules [and] you can come, if you don’t follow the rules you can’t.”

Trade and Tourism Minister Dan Tehan also previously explained that the decision to grant Ye a visa was up to Immigration Minister Alex Hawke, who will consider that “application like he does for other visa applications.” He added, “I can assure everyone, all Australians, that it will be looked at in a diligent manner and like all of these applications, the applicant would have to adhere to Australian rules and application protocols for that to be approved.”

West reportedly plotted a show in Melbourne for March 21, but will need to reschedule to around the time of March 12 as Marvel Stadium has a scheduled football match.

The rapper confirmed during his Drink Champs interview in late 2021 that he is “half-ccinated,” meaning that he took only one of the COVID-19 vaccine shots. He has not revealed whether he has taken the second.

Elsewhere in music, Ye teased the reasoning behind the release date of DONDA 2.
