Paramount+‘s Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender is officially arriving much earlier than originally anticipated. Following an unexpected online leak earlier this year, the studio has decided to advance the premiere of the animated feature film. The upcoming project serves as a direct continuation of the critically acclaimed animated series and represents the first major release from Avatar Studios.
The production features a completely refreshed voice cast taking over the iconic roles. Eric Nam steps in to voice Aang, while Dave Bautista joins the universe as Tagah, a mysterious ancient airbender. The core team is rounded out by Jessica Matten as Katara, Román Zaragoza as Sokka, Steven Yeun as Zuko, and Dionne Quan as Toph. The narrative follows Aang as he learns of an ancient power capable of saving his culture from total extinction, prompting a global quest to secure the power before it falls into the wrong hands.
