Tampa Bay Buccaneers Coach Says It Would Be a "Travesty" if Tom Brady Does Not Win MVP

The 2021-22 NFL race for MVP sees Tampa Bay Buccaneers‘ Tom Brady and Green Bay Packers‘ Aaron Rodgers as the frontrunners. Coach Bruce Arians is backing his star quarterback, recently releasing a statement to the NFL,
“I think if he doesn’t get it, it’s a travesty. Most completions ever, 5,000 yards, touchdowns, the whole nine yards. To me, it’s not even a close race.”
Under the coaching of Arians, Brady has led the Bucs to a 13-4 record and currently holds the No. 2 seed in the NFC. Brady has completed 485 of 719 passes for 5,316 yards and 43 touchdowns, making it an all NFL-high. The quarterback has also broke the NFL’s completion record for a single season, previously held by the former New Orleans Saints quarterback, Drew Brees. The 44 year old has one seven Super Bowls and will be facing the Philadelphia Eagles during the Super Wild Card Weekend.
Other candidates for MVP are Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes, Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen, Cincinnati Bengals Joe Burrow and Indiana Colts’ Jonathan Taylor. Aaron Rodgers was the NFL’s MVP last year.
