Yohji Yamamoto's discord Utilises Wooden Panels For SS22
Adding uniqueness to otherwise simple shapes.
Yohji Yamamoto‘s discord sub-label returns for Spring/Summer 2022 with its latest selection of luxury accessories, elevated by the unique addition of wooden panels.
An extension of Yamamoto’s mainline, which has recently seen wooden panels and wooden buttons added to trench coats and similar styles, the first part of discord’s forthcoming capsule “NAMU” rides the same wave, as shoulder and tote bags house solid panels to add uniqueness to otherwise simple shapes.
Pineapple-like “ANANAS” bags makes an appearance drawing inspiration from Yamamoto’s famed gathered dress look with a drawstring gathering material at the centre, while “PEEL” — the third section of SS22 — sees the arrival of all-black bag designs for lapel-like clothing, crafted with broken fabrics.
SS22 discord Yohji Yamamoto will be available from February 2 via the brand’s online webstore.
