ECKHAUS LATTA and Moose Knuckles Team Up for a Fashion-Forward Outerwear Collaboration
Encompassing a limited 10-piece assortment of items.
US-based brand ECKHAUS LATTA has announced a new collaboration with luxury Canadian outerwear giant Moose Knuckles for a 10-piece capsule collection.
The limited edition capsule finds design duo Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta venturing into the performance outerwear market for the first time, partnering with Moose Knuckles to create a cutting-edge array of coats, jackets, shorts and pants. Bomber-style jackets have been given the EL treatment with high funnel-neck collars, detachable zip sleeves and contrasting black-and-white fastening details. Lined hoodies are capped off with quilted sleeves and a swing-bottom fit, and wide-legged pants are given the high-waist treatment with zip-detail on the thighs and knees. While long duster coats are quilted and padded with tie-robe closure and doubly offered in a cropped version.
Unisex accessibility allows the collaboration to stand out for men and women, and a keen color palette of black, white, heather grey, mustard and eggshell enhances each item’s multifunctional uniformity.
Noting their first foray into outerwear, Eckhaus and Latta both state;
“It’s always exciting for us to collaborate with a brand whose products are focused on a specific materiality and design vernacular. We’ve never made puffers, so the opportunity to explore this language with Moose Knuckles was really appealing — they are very open to experimentation. For this collaboration, we wanted to create storytelling that read capital ‘F’ fashion, but in a subtly perverse and confusing way.”
Further speaking on the selection of EL as collaborative partners, Moose Knuckles’ Vice President of Women’s Design, Joseph McGee said, “The collaboration with Eckahus Latta has been an artistic and technical exploration where, together, we reimagined our classic Moose Knuckles outerwear in new and inspiring ways, using techniques not seen in our collections before.”
Capsule collection prices range from $390 to $925 USD, and will become available on February 3. Items will be sold on the Moose Knuckles website and stores, and at select retailers.
