Rich Brian Is First Indonesian Artist to Surpass 10 Million Monthly Spotify Listeners

Rich Brian has achieved a historic Spotify feat, becoming the first Indonesian artist to surpass 10 million monthly listeners on the streaming service.

The 88rising staple, who was born and raised in Jakarta, shared the news and expressed his gratitude on Twitter. “Holy shit. i would not have been able to do this without u amazing & hot ppl that bump my music,” he tweeted, continuing, “thank u with all my heart.”

The 22-year-old artist recently contributed to the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings soundtrack, however his last full-length dates back to 2019’s The Sailor. Between then now, Rich Brian dropped off the seven-track EP 1999 in August 2020 and teamed up with the likes of Guapdad4000, NIKI, Warren Hue, Diamond Pistols and bbno$.

In other music news, Baby Keem has officially announced the release date of The Melodic Blue.
