Official Images of the Nike Dunk Low "Midas Gold"
The perfect Dunk for USC Trojans fans.

Nike‘s endless parade of low-cut Dunk releases has taken a slight breather over the last few weeks — but a shoe as omnipresent as the Dunk Low is in 2021 is never out of the spotlight for long, and official images of the Dunk Low “Midas Gold” surfaced recently. A two-tone colorway that looks like a castoff from the “Be True To Your School” pack, the “Midas Gold” combines its signature gold hue with a “Tough Red” shade for a color scheme that appears to be inspired by the USC Trojans.
Toeboxes, quarters and collars are done up in gold leather, while mudguards, eyestays, Swooshes, and heels serve up contrast with a rich red shade. Nylon tongues are presented in gold, and embellished with red trim, tongue badges and laces. More Nike branding is embroidered on the heel in gold and stamped on the insole in a divergent infrared. Down below, white midsoles work with red outsoles to round off the look.
USC detractors — read: UCLA fans — will likely deride this Nike Sportswear release as a McDonald’s sneaker, but Trojan alumni and fans are sure to love its vivid two-tone build. At the time of writing, an official release date for the “Midas Gold” has yet to be announced. However, it’ll likely hit shelves later this fall for $100 USD.
