Following its original announcement in June, Bandai Namco has now finally announced the premiere date for the upcoming anime portion of its Gundam Breaker Battlogue project.

Due to release in October, the new series will feature six episodes that will stream on both the official Gundam YouTube channel and the Gundam.info website every Thursday. The series is produced by Sunrise with Gundam Build Fighters: Battlogue veteran Masami Obari direction. Yuichiro Kitaoka and So Mayumi are writing the screenplay, while character design comes from Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters‘ Kenichi Ohnuki.

While plot details remain scarce at the moment, we do know that there’ll also be an accompanying video game based on the series as well as a new Gunpla line that’ll allow builders to customize their models with interchangeable heads, bodies, arms and legs. There aren’t any release dates for these two parts of the project just yet, so fans should definitely stay tuned for more updates to come.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Netflix has unveiled the key art for season two of Ultraman.
