When it comes to footwear, Brain Dead has often showed a penchant for designing with an unconventional mentality in an effort to offer the market unique products. In recent memory, the LA-based label has crafted an inline skates collaboration with THEM SKATES and a wacky ASICS GEL-Fratelli team-up with Kiko Kostadinov, and now it has just unveiled a quirky “Metal” Wooden Clog that’s reinforced with Vibram soles.

The uppers of these slip-on kicks bear various materials and textures. Most of the real estate is designed with a textured “metal” looking material — which almost evokes memories of a viking’s helmet — while the heel straps are wrapped with a luxe cloth. The latter are held down by a leather straps and buckles that are done up with a silver finish. Chunky platform midsoles down below are whipped up in a solid black tone and come decorated with metal studs. Moreover, the Brain Dead head logo is debossed onto the in-step, and the outsoles are formed with rigged Vibram to provide wearers with comfort and traction.

If interested, Brain Dead is dropping these on September 8 online, and through its Brain Dead Studios Fairfax and Brain Dead Fabrications locations.
