J Balvin Teases New Jordan Brand Collaboration
Don Jose and the Jumpman have something in the works.

J Balvin has a new album — Jose — set to release this Friday, November 10, and ahead of his latest work’s debut the reggaeton superstar took to his Instagram to tease another upcoming project: a new collaboration with Jordan Brand. Though Balvin’s post announcing the collaboration is somewhat cryptic and was accompanied by an album-centric caption, it likely indicates a forthcoming release for the Columbian artist’s second collaboration with the Jumpman after 2020’s J Balvin x Air Jordan 1.
Don Jose’s single photo of the collaborative item is a close-up of a white Jumpman logo, under which sits a special white and green Air graphic that prominently features Balvin’s lightning bolt logo. It’s impossible to deduce exactly what model the logo appears on, as it’s placed on a simple black base with two lines of stitching above and one below. 2021 marks the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 6, the 25th anniversary of the Air Jordan 12 and the 20th anniversary of the Air Jordan 17, but a collaborative partner with Balvin’s stature has the pick of the litter when it comes to retro Air Jordan silhouettes and is likely not beholden to any brand initiatives. There’s also a possibility of Balvin’s latest being a team-focused model like the Jordan Delta 2.
See the image below, and speculate to your heart’s content as more info is likely to surface soon — potentially after Jose releases on September 10.
