Sportswear designer Eric Emanuel has joined forces with
The collection’s footwear options are done up in a white, blue, yellow and pink palette, each with its own special detail: the N3XT L3V3L FUTURENATURAL boasts Emanuel’s EE logo under its translucent toebox, the Streetball II uses tri-colored laces to add vibrance, the Exhibit A supplies striking abstract details on its lateral quarter and the adilette provides a perfect post-game option. All four pairs also work in more subtle branded hits and technical touches.
From an apparel standpoint, the offerings include co-branded mesh shooting shirts and tanks, plus a classic ringer tee — all with Golden State Warriors-esque color schemes. Four colorways of Emanuel’s signature shorts are available as well, each with thick stripes that taper off towards the knee for a unique ridged look.
Emanuel has worked with adidas Originals at length in years past, but this marks his first go-around with the Trefoil’s performance products. In 2018 he elevated the Crazy BYW and Rivalry Hi for a luxurious two-shoe set, while 2019 saw him link up with the brand again for a floral-printed SS19 collection and a New York-centric Rivalry Hi. Earlier this year, he even celebrated the McDonald’s All-American Game with a special set of adidas footwear and apparel. The “Fundamentals Collection” may also serve as a sneak peek of the partnerships we can expect from adidas Basketball under Jerry Lorenzo’s creative direction.
Eric Emanuel and adidas Basketball’s “Fundamentals Collection” is available on the adidas webstore now. Prices range from $50-$200 USD.
