Prada Drops Padded Nylon Slippers For Fall 2021

We’ve got strong emotions for this pair from the Raf Simons-designed FW21 collection, “Possible Feelings.”

Raf Simons‘ first show for Prada Fall/Winter 2021 — dubbed “Possible Feelings” — stirred up a lot of emotions, but for us at HYPEBEAST (which speculated big things from the epoch-making designer), we were rather impressed by his debut, particularly because of notable pieces that were seen such as the nylon slippers that you see above.

Indeed, this season the mule, slipper, slide, sandal, whatever you want to call it, is staying. Following on from a lockdown-induced hype for all things Crocs, Merrell, and Birkenstock, came a wave of designers and brands making their own laidback shoes, and as the trend remains it now means that houses are having to get more creative with their footwear efforts.

So, with this in mind, welcome to Prada’s next offering. These nylon slippers combine Prada’s quintessential tech-infused sportiness by using nylon for the entire upper, but scream comfort (thankfully) as the nylon is quilted using tonal stitching. On the outside, a toggle rope lace system is embedded into the collar to make them tighter, while a rubberized Prada Milano triangle logo adorns the tongue section.

Rounding out the slippers is the full shearling lining for that extra level of opulent comfort, as well as a thick, lugged sole unit meaning these can be worn outside without fear.

Naturally, these Prada nylon slippers don’t come cheap. Head over to Très Bien to pick these up now for $840 USD.

For something familiar, check out Reebok’s Beatnik “Cordura Pack” that’s re-releasing soon.
