Mike Dean Reveals Why Kanye Was on the Phone During 'DONDA' Launch Event

Those in attendance and tuning into the livestream for Kanye West‘s recent DONDA Launch event may have noticed that during the middle of the display, ‘Ye was seen emotionally speaking to someone on the phone. Despite many thinking it was just part of the event, famed producer, audio engineer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mike Dean revealed what the phone call was all about.

Taking to Twitter, Dean shared that he was actually on the phone with Kanye and the artist had called about a mixing mistake. Apparently, ‘Ye was incredibly able to hear an issue during the playback and immediately took action to have the problem resolved.

According to Apple Music, Kanye West’s tenth studio album DONDA is now expected to release August 15.

In case you missed it, “Hurricane” featuring The Weeknd and Lil Baby is reported to be Kanye West’s first DONDA single.
