Louis Vuitton Drops a Trio of "LV Comics Earrings" That Are Inspired by Abloh's Core Themes

For better or for worse, Virgil Abloh has taken Louis Vuitton to new heights, introducing oddities such as the coffee cup and carrot-shaped bags as well as jewelry that has adorned the necks, wrists, and ears of anyone who’s anyone, and now for Fall/Winter 2021, the label releases its “LV Comics Earrings.”
Coming straight from the FW21 “Ebonics / Snake Oil / The Black Box / Mirror, Mirror” collection, this trio of earrings are inspired by the house’s seasonal themes of travel and architecture — two things that prevail throughout Abloh’s catalog of work. As a result, the trio includes the LV initials, an airplane featuring the Monogram Flower motif debossed into it, and a hammer that dangles from the aforementioned flower emblem.
Each piece is made from metal and is colored in either shiny silver or gold, and has been polished for a dazzling finish. Each is backed onto a standard ear piercing fastener.
As of writing, the LV Comics Earrings have sold out online but are due for a restock, however, they are available in-store in the U.K. for £335 GBP (approx. $465 USD).
