Chris Paul Agrees to a Four-Year $120 Million USD Contract With Phoenix Suns

After leading the Phoenix Suns to the NBA finals post-Western Conference Finals win, Chris Paul has agreed to a four-year, $120 million USD contract to return to the Valley.

The 36-year-old NBA veteran surprised many with the enormous and unprecedented contract. Though that was the case, many thought that the 11-time All-Star resigning with the Suns is virtually a no-brainer. In his first season with Phoenix, CP3 averaged 16.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game. Throughout the regular season, he was able to finish fifth in MVP voting.

The Suns new contract to keep CP3 is arguably a huge risk for the franchise as he is over 35 and has a long history of injuries. Reports have also indicated that CP3 recently went through wrist surgery for his injury, but is expected to be ready for training camp.
