Patta Celebrates the Illustrious Career of Jimi Hendrix With Latest Capsule

Jimi Hendrix is undoubtedly one of the most legendary and revolutionary musicians in history. An artist of unmatched talent and style, his writing and arrangements were formed into albums and live performances such as The Jimi Hendrix Experience Axis Bold as Love, Live at Monterey and Live at Woodstock, where his unfathomable guitar skills captivated audiences globally.
After working as a session guitarist for the likes of Little Richard, B.B. King, Ike and Tina Turner and Sam Cooke in his early years, Hendrix soon formed the Jimi Hendrix Experience with bassist Noel Redding and drummer Mitch Mitchell. In 1967, the band made their first appearance in the United States where Hendrix would make an even greater impact on the musical world by setting his guitar on fire during a performance.
This propelled him to Rockstar status and over the next 24 months, the group would go on to release pop culture landmarks such as Purple Haze, Foxey Lady, and The Wind Cries Mary, as well as three studio albums — all before his passing at just 27.
Now paying homage to Hendrix and his illustrious career, Authentic Hendrix LLC links up with Amsterdam imprint Patta for a range of apparel aimed at celebrating the life and career of the Seattle-born performer.
