LPL and Nike Sweeten 2021's 'League of Legends' Prize Pot with Special Dunk Low
The unique style will likely be handed out to LPL’s 2021 champions.
The LPL is League of Legends‘ largest Chinese pro tournament, and with its 2021 finals set to kick off in August, Nike has revealed a special LPL-themed Dunk Low. Though no official info has surfaced around this low-cut Dunk just yet, it’s likely a part of the prize pot for the winning LoL squad, much in the same way that a special Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT was in 2020.
Forgoing any specific LPL or LoL branding in favor of a color scheme that’s somewhat reminiscent of the Air Yeezy 2 “Solar Red,” this LPL Dunk supplies a full black suede upper with what appears to be a tonal floral print on the mudguard, eyestays and heel while the quarter panel takes on a snakeskin-like texture. Swooshes feature an iridescent material, and two white stars are embroidered on each shoe’s lateral heel. There’s also small Chinese characters present on the tongue tag, a white heel tab, white laces with red tips, a red collar lining and a special badge embroidered on the insole. Down below, the look is finalized by black midsoles and glowing green outsoles.
