James Bond actor Daniel Craig has said that he’s completely done with playing the character after No Time to Die.

In a new interview with Total Film, the 53-year-old English actor said that he didn’t think he was capable of making another James Bond film after Spectre and that after the upcoming installment he’s absolutely ready to move on. “I thought I probably was physically not capable of doing another,” he said after he tore his meniscus during a grueling six-month shoot. “For me, it was very cut and dried that I wasn’t coming back.”

Despite this, he decided to go for one final film because he felt there was a story to wrap up.  “We started talking about it and I went, ‘There might be a story we need to finish here – something we started in Casino [Royale]. Something to do with Vesper, and Spectre, and something that was connected, in a way.’ It started to formulate. And I thought, ‘Here we go.’” Achieving what he set out to do, Craig added that No Time to Die will be a great conclusion to his take on the British superspy: “In terms of closing the story, the circle is complete now. It feels emotionally satisfying.”

No Time to Die will arrive in theaters October 8.

Elsewhere in entertainment, season three of The Mandalorian is reportedly in production.
