The adidas ZX 8000 "Halloween" Has Haunting Chenille Patches
A Halloween sneaker that’s equal parts trippy and spooky.

Halloween is still a few months out, but sneaker leakers know no off-season, and we’ve already been granted looks at several holiday-inspired styles. The latest of these? An adidas ZX 8000 with a wealth of haunting chenille patches that are equal parts trippy and spooky.
The base of this ZX 8000 is a Los Angeles Lakers-esque mix of gold, purple and cream. Running from its toebox to its collar are the signature pumpkin orange chenille patches. These patches different on each foot and including everything from a scowling, Dracula-like figure to a Sean Wotherspoon-esque peace sign and a star-eyed figure with its arm coming out of its mouth. What makes this release different from most of the other Halloween-centric sneakers we’ve seen in past weeks — think Nike‘s SB Dunk Low “Mummy” and Dunk Low “Halloween” — is that its direct inspiration is not readily apparent. Orange insoles and two-tone outsoles with a signature Torsion bar round the build off.
An official release date and pricing information for the adidas ZX 8000 “Halloween” has yet to be announced, but it’ll likely hit shelves this October.
