Ufotable Reveals ‘Demon Slayer’ Season 2 Trailer
Offering a glimpse at the Entertainment District Arc.
Ufotable has officially unveiled the upcoming second season of Demon Slayer via a first look trailer that was leaked earlier this year. The Japanese animation studio also announced that it will be hosting a livestream on July 13 to discuss new season details, specifically how the season will follow the Entertainment District Arc.
Following the first season’s close in 2019, Ufotable went straight into production for the Demon Slayer: Mugen Train film. With the film’s success, the animation studio is gearing up again to continue the anime series. While, the new trailer did not divulge many details about the storyline or release information, it did state that the new season is set to arrive next year.
As Demon Slayer: Mugen Train left fans on a cliffhanger, it is expected that the upcoming season will resume where the film left off. If the new season closely follows the manga, the story will follow Tanjiro and his friends as they investigate demon activity in a city’s red-light district. Additionally, Tengen Uzui makes his debut this season, a highly anticipated character who’s essential to the upcoming story.
The livestream, which could contain further details about the new season, is scheduled for 6 a.m. EDT on July 13. The livestream will be broadcasted on ABEMA and the Aniplex Youtube Channel.
