According to reports, Jerry Seinfeld is now set to write, star, direct and produce a Netflix original movie about the invention of the Pop-Tarts.

Titled Unfrosted, the comedy film is based on a joke the comedian told about his discovery of the breakfast treat. Building on the joke from his recent Netflix stand-up special, Seinfeld co-wrote the project with Spike Feresten and Barry Marder during the Coronavirus pandemic to spread some welcomed fun. Netflix acquired rights to the movie after a bidding war and production on Unfrosted will begin spring 2022.
