Honda Debuts Its 2022 Civic Hatchback
Both engine trims will have a six-speed manual option.
Honda has just unveiled its updated Hatchback version of the Civic. This version deviates from the 2021 version with less harsh angles and lines but provides all the increased trunk space of a hatchback.
Shown in a Boost Blue paint job, the new 2022 models will come with the option of a six-speed manual transmission for both engine trims — a 2.0-liter inline-four or a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four. The 2.0L puts down around 158 horsepower while the turbo version makes 180 horsepower. Some will miss the signature angled silhouette of the Honda Hatchback, but the new version makes up for that with updated features like a nine-inch touch screen infotainment system, European styling, honeycomb vents, and increased safety features.
