'The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard' Drops Second Trailer Ahead of Release
Antonio Banderas and Morgan Freeman join Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and Salma Hayek.
Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and Salma Hayek have reunited for the sequel to the 2017 hit The Hitman’s Bodyguard, and Lionsgate has just dropped the new film’s second trailer ahead of its theatrical release in June.
Named The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, the upcoming sequel seems to pick up where the last film left off. Reynold’s Michael Bryce has been forced into a sabbatical following the events of the first movie, but Hayek’s Sonia Kincaid ultimately persuades him to protect her and her husband Darius Kincaid, played by Jackson, as they set off on a “life-threatening mission.” Left without a license to use weapons, Bryce has to find other ways to protect the Kincaids as the three of them end up being the only thing standing in between Antonio Banderas‘ villainous plans and the entirety of Europe.
Joining the hilarious trio and Banderas on the cast will be Morgan Freeman, Frank Grillo, Tom Hopper, Caroline Goodall, Gabriella Wright, Kristofer Kamiyasu, Blake Ritson, Rebecca Front, Alice McMillan, and Richard E. Grant.
For those interested, The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard will arrive at cinemas June 16.
