Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is one of the key pieces of Converse‘s basketball roster, and over the course of the 2020-21 NBA season, he’s been taking the court in a special G4 “Hyper Swarm” PE. Now, just ahead of Green and the Warriors’ play-in game against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, Converse has announced that the “Hyper Swarm” will receive a retail release.

The G4 comes in both high and low-cut versions, and the “Hyper Swarm” falls into the latter category. It’s built from a yellow synthetic mesh, and features bumblebee-like black detailing on its midfoot logo and collar. Midsoles are done up in black as well, and boast the G4’s unique hybrid cushioning setup: React foam surrounding a forefoot Zoom Air unit for a feel that’s both supportive and responsive. The look is rounded off by translucent outsoles with a brown tint, a compelling alternate take on classic gum outsoles.

Draymond Green’s Converse G4 “Hyper Swarm” is set to release on the Converse webstore come May 26 and will be priced at $110 USD. You’ll also be able to catch it in acton on Green’s feet if the Warriors are able to make inroads in the playoffs.

Elsewhere in the world of Converse, the brand has readied an expansive collection in celebration of Pride Month.
