White Castle is the newest joint to offer free food to guests that have received their COVID-19 vaccinations.

According to reports, the chain will be giving away four different versions of its dessert-on-a-stick: the Gooey Buttercake-on-a-Stick, Fudge Dipped Brownie-on-a-Stick, Fudge Dipped Cheesecake-on-a-Stick and the brand new Birthday Cake-on-a-Stick, White Castle’s latest offering to celebrate its 100th anniversary this 2021. Customers just need to present their proof of vaccination at their local Castle to receive the complimentary dessert; no additional purchase is necessary.

“From the start of the pandemic, we’ve shared the message that there is ‘unity in community,’” Jamie Richardson, a vice president at White Castle, said in a statement. “We’re thankful the vaccines are now widely available to all citizens 16 and over so that every adult can do their part to help our country return to all that we love and Crave.”

He continued, “This ‘vax for snacks’ effort is just another way to support our communities as we make our way through this pandemic,” adding, “Our desire is for all of our friends, neighbors and Cravers near and far to enjoy good health. For those getting vaccinated we are here to celebrate with you!”

The free dessert is just one of White Castle’s many initiatives to support the public during this pandemic. In the past year, the chain has given away $1 million USD worth of free combo meals to medical frontliners, delivered over 15,000 free Sliders to hospital, grocery store and retail food workers and offered a 20 percent discount to all the frontliners and teachers and school employees.

The Wichita-founded establishment joins Krispy Kreme as one of the joints to offer free food to those who have gotten vaccinated. The doughnut staple previously announced that vaccinated guests can receive a free Original Glazed doughnut at all Krispy Kreme U.S. branches when they show a valid COVID-19 vaccination card through the remainder of 2021.

White Castle’s “vax for snacks” effort runs from April 22 to May 31.

In other COVID-19 news, vaccinated U.S. travelers will soon be able to visit Europe.
