Jerry Seinfeld-Owned Porsche 911 GT3 RS Is up for Grabs
It features over $250,000 USD worth of optional extras.
Jerry Seinfeld is a well-known car fanatic and a lover of all things Porsche, and now one of his previously-owned prized possessions — a very special 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS — is up for sale with Bonhams.
Following his $22,244,500 USD auction sale at Gooding Amelia that took place way back in March 2016, the multifaceted comedian now sees a 911 GT3 RS he once owned up for sale yet again. This 2016 model was originally purchased and delivered to the Seinfeld collection of cars with optional extras totaling over $250,000 USD, making for an official fresh from the showroom price of $449,890 USD.
Developed by Seinfeld under Porsche’s “Special Wishes” program, the 911 sports a paint-to-sample “Liquid Chrome Blue Metallic” paint job (taking after the Porsche 918 Spyder), as well as an axle lift system, carbon-ceramic brakes, the sport chrono pack, LED lighting, navigation, and a larger 23-gallon fuel tank.
As a Porsche connoisseur, Seinfeld knows the Stuttgart-based car maker’s history. As such, the 911 GT3 RS was fitted with a duck tail-like spoiler as an homage to the 911s of the past, while the quintessential rear wing was also added as a standard option that can be removed and added as the driver wishes.
Regarding the car itself, it comes with a four-liter flat-six that produces 520 BHP, making it shift from 0-60 in three seconds flat. A seven-speed electro-hydraulic paddle-shift transaxle will make sure it achieves this swift and easily, while the independent suspension and carbon-ceramic breaks will help with handling and immense stopping power.
Bonhams has the car listed online with an auction price set between $290,000 USD and $330,000 USD — a fair price for any GT3 RS, let alone one originally worth almost half a million dollars. Take a look at the car above, and find out more on the online lot.
Elsewhere in the automotive world, Porsche has covered its Taycan 4s in a hyperrealistic art wrap.
