A longtime admirer of John Smedley‘s fine knitwear, Hiroshi Fujiwara most recently partnered with the English brand’s Japanese arm in November to update some of his favorite sweaters. Now the fragment design mastermind is back in business with John Smedley Japan, enlisting his friends at SEQUEL for another special selection.

fragment and SEQUEL first partnered on a denim jacket last year and similar elements arrive for this joint effort. SEQUEL’s signature stitched logo appears once again on this sweater, served in black, navy and charcoal iterations. A contrasting white collar and sleeve hems give the muted garments some strong contrast, matching the whited-out tag on the lower left hand that has become the fragment design collaboration signature. The bespoke neck tag is also back, reiterating that these sweaters are made from Smedley’s lavish Sea Island cotton, suitable for the upcoming warmer weather.

The latest fragment design and Sequel collaboration launches John Smedley Japan’s site and stores on April 9 for ¥37,400 JPY apiece (approximately $337 USD).

Meanwhile, fragment design is prepping its latest Nike collaboration, the Dunk High “Beijing”
