New Balance‘s 991 has surfaced in a new colorway that makes use of freshly-brewed cappuccino tones. Combining this elegant blend of shades with a high-quality made in the UK construction — most 991s are constructed at New Balance’s factory in the coastal village of Flimby — this new style is a noteworthy addition to the 991’s 20th anniversary celebration.
Uppers are built around a trio of earthy suede shades: a cappuccino-like brown on the toe cap, mudguard and tongue, a rich hazelnut on the heel and a khaki-like tan on the midfoot overlays and eyestays. This trifecta sits atop a navy blue mesh base and is centered around a navy blue N logo with white trim on its midfoot.
Small pops of hi-vis reflective silver are worked into the heel and placed directly below the throat. Further 991 branding arrives on both the heel and the tongue. Two-tone midsoles are split between white and an aged sand shade, both of which boast New Balance’s signature ABZORB cushioning to provide optimal comfort. A proud “Made In England” tag with the Union Jack appears on the inside of the tongue to round off the look.
This cappuccino-flavored New Balance 991 is available now at retailers like Aphrodite, and is priced at £169 GBP (approximately $232 USD).
