Eminem Responds to Attempts at "Cancelling" Him With "Tone Deaf" Visual
Released after TikTok users called him out for a line on the 2010 hit “Love The Way You Lie.”
Eminem has released an accompanying lyric video for his Music to Be Murdered By – Side B (Deluxe Edition) track “Tone Deaf,” supposedly targeting the Gen Z users of TikTok who are trying to “cancel” him for a lyric on his 2010 hit “Love The Way You Lie” with Rihanna.
The animated video visualizes the controversies the rapper has faced throughout the years, both as Eminem and Slim Shady. Despite the unwanted attention to his lyricism, however, Em has found commercial success and proudly raps, “I won’t stop even when my hair turns grey / ‘Cause they won’t stop until they cancel me.”
The Detroit rapper dropped the video in response to TikTok users who reportedly called him out on the platform for the line ”If she ever tries to f*cking leave again / I’mma tie her to the bed and set this house on fire.” While these users virtually rallied to stop supporting him, many fans from the older generations simply laughed it off on social media.
