Converse Addict has revealed the second drop from its Spring 2021 collection: two no-frills takes on the classic Jack Purcell plus a One Star Sandal. A subsidiary of Converse Japan that’s focused on remastering traditional Converse style from decades past, Addict preaches brilliance in simplicity and a timeless look — two key points that are on full display here.

The Jack Purcell arrives in black and olive green. Both pairs feature a canvas upper plus original ’70s details like a wider back stay with extra stitching, a classic heel label and original sizing. Poron EVA cup insoles and Vibram rubber outsoles supply modern-day comfort and durability without altering the look.

On the other end, the One Star Sandal serves up a look that’s straight out of ’90s Converse catalogues. The upper is made from a tan pigskin suede with a classic star logo on the lateral half, while a Poron footbed supplies comfort. Outsoles use a familiar traction pattern from models like the One Star and Chuck Taylor All-Star, though here this bottom half is made of Vibram rubber.

The Converse Addict Jack Purcell and One Star Sandal are set to release at Japanese Converse stockists come April 10. Purcells are priced at ¥17,600 JPY (approximately $162 USD) and One Star Sandals at ¥16,500 JPY (approximately $152 USD). Both prices are inclusive of tax.
