Wacko Maria Links With The Silence of the Lambs, Larry Clark, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Tecate, Dickies and More for SS21
The Tokyo-based label has an eclectic range of graphic-treated pieces and collaborations on the way.

WACKO MARIA has certainly come along way since its inception in 2005 by earning the rights to partner up with notable industry stalwarts such as Nike, Carhartt WIP, PORTER among others. And with a new year comes new products from the Tokyo-based label, all of which have been unveiled via its newly surfaced SS21 Lookbook.
To no surprise here, WACKO MARIA once again delivers its expertise of crafting a vast array of pattern-heavy garments, well-tailored outerwear, graphic-treated pieces and boldy-designed short-sleeved shirts which have been well-received in past seasons especially during the warmer months. A laundry list of collaborators are showcased in the capsule including returners such as Dickies, Cheech and Chong, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Nanga, while some fresh faces are brought to light including that of Larry Clark, The Silence of the Lambs and Tecate.
Imagery from Larry Clark‘s black-and-white Tulsa book, as well as scenes from The Silence of the Lambs film (1991) are graced atop short-sleeved button ups and tees. Tecate lends its beer logo to a pair of beach-ready shorts. Nanga and WACKO MARIA reconvene for a mountain parka that’s ornamented with leopard print. Dickies has a matching work shirt and short in-order, while graphics from artists Jean-Michel Basquiat and Tim Lehi are called upon for various tops.
Elsewhere in the collection, one can find sport suits, mohair cardigans, leather blazers, Notorious B.I.G-adorned garments and more.
Peep the full collection here above, and expect it to roll out gradually over the coming weeks.
