Constantly pushing its technologies forward, VAIO has now debuted the world’s first 3D-molded carbon fiber laptop.

Weighing just 2.3 pounds, the VAIO Z  manages to shed a significant amount of weight thanks to the company’s new uni-direction “contoured carbon fiber” technology, wrapping the entire device in the extremely light material. Despite its high mobility, VAIO still managed to pack in a big punch for the laptop, equipping it with an Intel Core i7-11357Hr CPU, making it the world’s lightest laptop to carry an Intel H-series processor. Complementing the chip is a 14-inch 4K display, Intel Iris Xe graphics, up to 2TB of SSD storage and 32GB of RAM, and a battery life of 10 hours.

For those interested, the VAIO Z carbon fiber laptop is now available for pre-order over on the company’s website, with prices starting at $3,580 USD.

Elsewhere in tech, leaked images of Apple’s third-generation AirPods has leaked.
