After serving up fuzzy mules and backpack jackets with Junya Watanabe, The North Face‘s Japanese colleagues have prepped a concise selection of versatile apparel ideal for handling spring showers. Part of the Spring/Summer 2021 Urban Exploration lineup, The North Face has infused a set of easy to wear essentials with reliable functionality ideal for daily wear.

A coaches jacket, pullover shirt and cardigan are all realized in black and graced by different TNF textiles; the former utilizes high-spec Futurelight while the the latter two make use of Ventricks Zephyr tech. The coaches jacket is granted packability and weather-resistance, able to breathe while reflecting water off its recycled polyester shell. Meanwhile, the pullover and cardigan make use of the Ventricks fiber to maximize stretch and ventilation, useful for chilly transitional evenings and warmer days.

Select items from Urban Exploration SS21 are already available on The North Face Japan’s web store and will soon hit its domestic stores.

The North Face Japan most recently introduced its latest round of 141 Customs, which sees classic jackets receiving the customization treatment.
