adidas has reached into its archives for the latest adidas Originals release, bringing back the München in two OG colorways: “Scarlet” and “Core Black.” A certified ’70s classic that first released in 1976, the München takes its moniker from the Bavarian capital city of München — where it was originally produced — and the area’s famed Bayern Munich football team.

Attention to detail is key on both of these releases: adidas’ product description touts them as a precise re-creation of the OG pairs, complete with original tooling and embellishments. Each features a full suede upper with white leather accents on the Three Stripe midfoot graphic and heel tab plus a gold midfoot stamp. Blue/white adidas branding appears on each shoe’s trim leather tongue, and a Trefoil graphic is stamped on each heel. This upper is contrasted with a full gum midsole, offering a slightly translucent look towards its top half and an embossed adidas wordmark on the lateral side. Unique outsole traction patterns round off each look.

Expect the adidas München “Scarlet” and “Core Black” to release on the adidas UK webstore come February 14, complete with a palatable retail price of $75 USD.
