Junya Watanabe and The North Face Again Fuse Backpacks and Jackets for SS21
The Dayhiker Lumber Jacket is ready for outdoor adventure.
As part of his function-driven Spring/Summer 2021 collection, Junya Watanabe has rejoined The North Face for another hybrid bag/jacket. The Dayhiker Lumber Jacket lives up to its name, infusing the Dayhiker pack into a lightweight shell ideal for spring treks.
Offered in a versatile black shade, the utilitarian Japanese-made jacket boasts a hood, adjustable toggles and a plethora of storage-friendly touches, even just on the front. There, you’ll find multiple zippered pockets and D-rings, complete with tear-resistant panels on the arms. Of course, all eyes are on the rear of the garment, which boasts loads of dangling straps, buckles, a bevy of additional pockets and the sole The North Face logo on the garment’s exterior.
Retailing at ¥148,500 JPY (approximately $1,410 USD), Watanabe’s latest The North Face collaboration launches February 5 at Japanese TNF retailers and will soon arrive overseas at select stores.
Even more collaborative affairs are in store for Junya Watanabe’s workwear-driven Fall/Winter 2021 collection, including brands like Carhartt, Stepney Workers Club and more.
