A decade after Rebecca Black released her now infamous song “Friday,” the viral artist has returned to celebrate 10 year anniversary of her breakout track. Rebecca announced the release on Twitter, noting that “Friday” was recently certified gold by the RIAA.
Produced by Dylan Brady of 100 Gecs, the aged viral piece of music has been updated with an edgier outlook. Choice features from 3OH!3, Big Freedia and Dorian Electra serve to accent the pitched take that brings “Friday” into 2021. The release of remix is accompanied by a frenetic music video directed and edited by Weston Allen, which heavily references the original visual.
