Kim Kardashian Files to Divorce Kanye West

After months of rumours and speculation, Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from Kayne West after almost 7 years of marriage.

According to TMZ reports, the U.S. reality star has requested joint custody of the pair’s four children, with the split said to be as amiable as a divorce can be and a prenup that neither party is set to contest. The report also suggests that a property settlement agreement is already on the horizon.

While the split has only been made official now, the pair have reportedly been leading separate lives for some time now. West — whose struggles with mental health have been well-publicised — has found himself the talking point on a number of occasions over the past few years, following unusual social media actions and a failed presidential campaign.

Kim has hired Laura Wasser as her divorce attorney, one of Hollywood’s most renowned lawyers. Wasser has overseen cases from the likes of Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie, Christina Aguilera and more.
