Baseball’s Go-To Sunflower Seed Brand Links up With New Balance
Taking on the 574, Fresh Foam 3000v5, and a cleat.
As the official sunflower seed of the little league and long-term affiliate of baseball, David Sunflower Seed has teamed up with New Balance on a capsule collection, reinventing three silhouettes. Consisting of both a turf and cleat iteration of the baseball-inspired Fresh Foam 3000v5 along with a lifestyle 574, the sunflower seed brand adds its own take on the classics.
All three sneakers adopt the color palette of David’s classic packaging. The Fresh Foam 3000v5 consists of New Balance’s signature Fresh Foam midsole cushioning focused on lightweight comfort on the field. Its blue overlays feature tonal sunflowers with the sock liners adorned with a sunflower seed graphic print. David’s signature is applied to the heel with the brand’s yellow sun logo on the tongue and New Balance’s trademark “N” insignia is positioned on the lateral sides. The cleated iteration comprises of a synthetic TPU/polyester upper designed specifically for baseball movement with branded metal spikes protruding from the blue outsole.
The classic 574 consists of similar features with its suede and mesh upper completed in David’s signature red, white, blue and yellow colors. A tonal sunflower print can be spotted on the red heel with the seeded graphic placed just on the inserts. Foam midsoles of ENCAP and EVA provide the sneaker with added cushioning and durability for everyday wear.
Each pair comes in a special-edition David Sunflower Seeds box and pouch. Keep posted on this release via the New Balance website.
