Loutre Partners With Carhartt WIP for Upcycled Research Project
Coming through its Loutre.Lab experimentation and development platform.
London-based label Loutre has unveiled a new project with Carhartt WIP, coming through its experimentation and research platform Loutre.Lab. The capsule consists of upcycled and technical garments, and incorporates Loutre’s skate roots through the influence from Carhartt rider Maité Steenhoudt.
THe collection is made up of two one-off outfits for the Winter and Summer seasons. The Winter outfit includes a pair of wool trousers with asymmetric Kevlar panelling, with the placing chosen to reinforce high-impact areas and prevent abrasion. For the Summer outfit, Loutre.Lab focuses on adaptability. The trousers and jackets can be converted from full-length to short and from longsleeve to gilet respectively.
Take a look at the research project in the gallery above. All of the pieces are one-offs and will not be released by Loutre.
