Legacy brands COMME des GARÇONS and Chrome Hearts have reunited for a rare industry collaboration, offering customized ready-to-wear items for an extremely limited 19-piece capsule collection.

The collection entails an exclusive Chrome Hearts customization of several CDG “Homme Plus” items – jackets, pants, sheaths and dresses – not found on the runway. Standout pieces include a silky black apron top with voluminous ruched skirting, an open side-vented convertible collar shirt with marquee “Chrome Hearts” button closures and a double-layer blazer with notched lapels, floral overlay and exposed seams. Each item in the collection is a one-of-one, with plans for future collection releases still being decided.

Having previously teamed up in 2007 for a limited collection of jewelry pendants and garments, the brands’ designers have long been familiar with each other – since the ‘90s – and continue to admire one another’s design aesthetic.

The new 19-piece collection is available now at the COMME des GARÇONS Osaka location.

In other fashion news, Chrome Hearts recently hand-carved a basketball hoop stylized with its signature design motifs.
